I also have this problem with the annoying message: xxxxxxx[sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through

I tried also the apport-collect 440475 and nothing happens, I followed all the steps and then I get to the authorization screen and the whole thing stops there, nothing happens :-(

Please do not close the bug report but look for a solution or another way to report the details of this annoyance,
