I have the same problems here on a Medion Akoya E1210 with the Release Candidate.
I had VERY much trouble even installing karmic RC from a usb drive (getting random errors while the MD5Sum of the image was correct and using multiple usb sticks). When I finally managed to install it, after about 10 minutes i was dropped to the console with the same error log.
My question is; now I can only boot into console mode... how can I fix this? The USB camera is off now (FN-F6) but I still only can boot into the console. When i do startx i get a cursor on a black screen with nothing else on it...
