Ok, this warn actually is tripped due to this message below which occurs just before the stack dump. It seems to be a warning that we are taking a slow path in frace buffer insertion:

However this is actually benign, corrective action is taken and processing continues as normal. I don't think this can have been the cause of the network manager behaviour seen.
I am interested to know if you were using ftrace here.
