Karmic since two weeks (new installation).
First time it occured after an update (via Synaptic) and reboot today.
Message about ECC (Error Correction Code) was in the logs all along, but no Apport bug report till this moment.
System runs still stable.
History:
Since the message occured in logfiles I did a search on this and acknowledged the GUI system monitor showed 999,9 MB RAM instead of 1024 as before in Hardy. My BIOS also isn't capable of ECC. (Details of sys specs are in the uploaded Apport report)
Related message in logfile was:
Phoenix BIOS detected: BIOS may corrupt low RAM, working around it.
Only Synaptic was open during update.
