I tried the 2.6.31-15 kernel from http://people.canonical.com/~apw/lp418933-karmic/ But this did not solve the wifi problem on my vostro 1520. There is still the killswitch in the wrong state after boot. Can anybody give me a feedback if my posting (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/418933/comments/94) should be related to the new kernel (2.6.31-15)?
When I test the rfkill list it shows still wrong result if the hardware WLAN switch is on before booting:
rfkill list 0: dell-wifi: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no 1: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: yes
I need to boot with deactivated wlan to be able to activate wlan after laptop was booted.
