The above results are with 28/8 maverick ISO (i386). Same result, I can get a working connection despite /sys/devices/platform/sony-laptop/wwanpower shows 0.

I'll post the same results with the latest kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ installed in my 10.04 64bit.
