I've got Ubuntu 9.10 on ASUS eeePC 1005HA (it has Atheros AR9285).
Wi-Fi connection is very unstable under heavy load. E.g., when I copy a big file from an SMB share the connection drops after ~200-300 Mb transferred. Sometimes system is even unable to reconnect to the network after that. The same problem occurs on resume after suspend/hibernation. To bring connection back I have to reload ath9k:
sudo modprobe -r ath9k
sudo modprobe ath9k
I've tried installing linux-backport-modules-karmic-generic and wicd, but that does not seem to solve the problem.
