Hi all, another success with noserverino option in /etc/fstab.
I'm running a Repotec NA2310 NAS - 400GB disk inside, supports "samba" and FTP. I noticed random missing files in random directories when using Karmic, all OK in Jaunty. When viewing a directory with obvious missing files, select all then delete works, all the visible files are deleted, then the previously-invisible files are suddenly visible.
This problem ONLY occurred when using the 'nounix' mount option.
I'm running Karmic final release with all updates installed. smbclient installed version is 3.4.0-3ubuntu5 (same problem also happened in Karmic beta).
Anyway, noserverino fixed it for me - great news as I was starting to get really really worried about this one!
