on a shuttle xs35v2 with a JMicron JMC250 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller :

on 11.10 alpha 2 server amd64 : failled to detect ethernet card, can choose dummy, but fail at choosing miror. installation incomplete, won't boot. Unable to run the command.

on 11.4 server amd64 : failled to detect ethernet card, can choose dummy, but fail at choosing miror. installation incomplete, won't boot. Unable to run the command.

on dayli : succed to detect ethernet card, installation complete. bootable, but fail at splash screen, seems unrelated.

on 11.4 desktop : always forward install ok. bootable. functional. ethernet card detected and usable during install and after normal boot.
