Is this the cause of my problem?

I have noticed that since upgrading to Ubuntu 9.04, when running Boinc, my CPUs are running about 14 degrees C hotter (at about 52C to 56C, compared with roughly 38C to 43C before). When not running Boinc and not using other apps, temperatures look much as they did before (28C to 34C).

Top reports boinc NI as 19, other apps seem to be 0, and system stuff is all -5

I haven't noticed any reduction in processing time, though I don't have any actual record to compare and don't actually know that I'm being sent the same types of boinc jobs as before.
