I have installed the RC of Jaunty Netbook Remix on my Acer Aspire One 150 netbook. The Atheros wireless chipset is recognized automatically, but is turned off. The only way to turn it on, is by doing this:
gksudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
Then add the following line in that empty text file:
blacklist acer_wmi
Save and close the file. Then do a full reboot. Now wifi works.
Apparently a kernel bug. Hopefully this will be repaired before the final release. For your information I have attached the output of lshw. |
