Additionally, when fglrx is removed and the laptop is configured to use the RadeonHD driver, wake from suspend has worked approximately 40 times with only one failure to resume (which I believe was due to using Karmic in an alpha state, I have not experienced a failure to resume with radeonhd in atleast a week).
