I am experiencing the exact same issue.
I am at a training and if I leave my laptop sitting, close the top, or just work on it for a long time the
Capslock starts blinking and the keyboard and touchpad are unresponsive.
When I suspend and resume after resuming I also do not have any keyboard and touchpad.
The touchscreen works intermittently.
Running Karmic 9.10 2.6.31-18-generic
on the original out of the box F.03 BIOS
I tried to update the BIOS to F.25 with WINE but the BIOS upgrade Utility fails.
How did you manage to update the BIOS???
