Thanks for following up on this one.
My HP2530p is now a production machine, so I am afraid to brake it with an
alpha release. I tried the koala as you suggested, but only as a live
session user. It behaved exactly as in jaunty: goes nicely into suspend, but
I get a black screen when I try to wake it up.
I will do a full install of koala when it goes into beta, and then report
back to you.
I may also be able to get a clean machine from my employer to install the
alpha 4.
Let me get back to you.
Thanks a lot for all the good work with ubuntu!
I am fighting for freedom every day in an otherwise dark windoze environment

Hi Mattias Villani
Thanks for your report, as you reported this bug a while ago we need
your help with this tests, so we can work on this issue.
2. If the issue remains with Karmic, it would be great to then also test
the latest upstream mainline kernel available. This will allow
additional upstream developers to examine it. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds

1. Can you confirm this issue exists with the most recent Karmic Koala cdimage. ubuntu. com/releases/ karmic/
9.10 Alpha release? ISO CD images are available at
http://
2. If the issue remains with Karmic, it would be great to then also test /wiki.ubuntu. com/KernelMainl ineBuilds
the latest upstream mainline kernel available. This will allow
additional upstream developers to examine it. Refer to
https:/
3. Finally, if you can take a look at /wiki.ubuntu. com/DebuggingKe rnelSuspendHibe rnateResume and
https:/
provide answers to the questions mentioned under the "Information
Gathering" section that would be great.
Thank you so much, and sorry for the late reply.
