I got this problem on my Acer Ferrari with Jaunty final just installed
output from the commands are similar to what CaclavPe provided.
What is the status for this bug?
I can add this information:
On the Acer Ferrari there is a button for wifi and a LED. The led is off, and pressing the button does not do anything. I would expect that the button would tell the driver to switch wifi on, and the driver would tell the hardwire to actually turn on the wifi radio transmitter/receiver.
Is there a relevant workaround? ndiswrapper? Alternative kernel module?
