Having the same issue, but my lsusb hangs after the mouse stops working.

It seems random, but it's never happened while the system was idle. I've noticed it stop while watching full screen flash videos (ala hulu.com), playing Nexuiz, and consistantly when I try to open more than one pdf at a time.
