I installed Ubuntu 9.10 last night and I can confirm that my Intel 3945 ABG wireless card worked straight away.

I have installed this on a Dell Vostro 1500 which previously had problems connecting to wireless networks. Also just for the record, the nVidia graphics drivers and sound all seem to work really well. If have a similar spec'd laptop and were put off by wireless/sound/graphics driver issues before try Ubuntu 9.10 its very good.
