Confirmed on my laptop too.
With Kubuntu Karmic alpha2 kernel 2.6.31, the 3945 never works.
With Kubuntu Jaunty and kernel 2.6.28, it works for a while and would disconnect and can never reconnect again until reboot.

Can anybody confirm is it kernel issue or Intel driver problem?

I agree this bug should be critical. Many laptop users with 3945 are affected.
