Wait: I have a similar problem here. I have two laptop, an Apple MacBook (using Leopard) and my ibm using Jaunty. When I turn on the macbook, my laptop get disconnected from my wireless network. This problem doesn't happen during week ends (don't laugh): I think this is because the are few wireless network turned on around me.
So, Kuma, maybe your speculations are right.
