Switched to mainline kernel, my problem didn't accour since that. (driver crashes on heavy load)

today looked at the new ubuntu kernel update (2.6.28-14)
    * r8169: fix crash when large packets are received

maybe this is related, so it should be fixed in the normal ubuntu kernel, don't have time to test it right now.
