I have a related problem. Almost everytime I leave my computer for awhile and come back, it won't turn on and it's frozen. I checked the logs and it's low level memory corruption. This problem has been happening every since I got Lucid... And there appears to be 0 problems in Windows 7. No idea why this is happening, but my system is crashing WAY TOO MUCH, and it's very annoying having to recover the file system on a daily basis because of this.
