If you use a CMOS 555 like the LMC555 or the TS555 or the ICL7555, you can build a Very Low Frequency square wave oscillator having these characteristics:
1. Smaller C (for lower cost), thanks to CMOS's tolerance of very Hi-Z nodes
1. Perfectly symmetric 50.00
