Thanks Leann. My mixer settings are attached in the screen shot. I will attach ALSA settings below. The sound recorder in my screenshot results in a blank file - the mic level reading is just from having the recording levels cranked so high in the mixer during this test.

Also, I should mention that this mic works fine in Vista, so I've eliminated hardware issues as the problem.
