I posted the patch to the ubuntu kernel team mailing list for inclusion in Karmic. The request has been NAK'd
and the patch will not be accepted.

When this was included in Hardy, the maintainers indicated that they would be attempting
to get the driver upstream. For whatever reason, this did not happen. It is quite a bit of work
for us to maintain drivers that are not upstream. It is felt that the maintainers of the two drivers
should work together to get a combined driver upstream.
