I'm sorry guys, I can't reproduce the buttons bug. Is there any syslog messages when this happens?

Which application are you seeing this behaviour in? I tried Firefox and Nautilus, both under Metacity. No luck.

That being said, even if this bug really is to blame on the Alps driver, the patch still is a major improvement I hope :-)
