they have suggested that i apply a patch to the latest kernel.

i have kernel 2.6.27.6-generic. from uname -r

please can you help with how to apply the patch.

i have never done this before and dont have a clue.

tried "patch -p0 < patch-name" and it says file to patch and i dont know the answer.
