I would like to point out that the people complaining about hanging should refer to the following bug:

I have confirmed that the aperture message was present in the old 2.6.24-21 kernel as well. The only reason that you guys are actually noticing the message now is because the hanging occurs right after it. The aperture message most likely has nothing to do with the system hanging on boot.
