I've had this problem for over a year now.
unable to enumerate USB device on port 5
being spammed to the console every second. The console (CTRL-ALT-F1 etc) is completely useless because of this error message coming every second. It happens whether or not I have anything connected to the usb ports. All devices are working fine. The only problem is that this message is spamming the console which (1) makes the console useless (2) makes the boot process look like crap.
Why is this message repeated a zillion times?? Why doesn't it go to a logfile instead of being splurted to the console??
This bug is marked a duplicate of a meta bug with all kinds of USB problems. Reopen this bug report!
