This is the message I get any time I enter a blank dvd (tested with DVD-R)
[ 177.784082] cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize!

As reported in the thread (#76), I sometimes manage to burn small size files (although I try various speeds the burner never works faster than ~1.5X)
Trying to burn a DVD of about 3GB (or more) data inevitably fails.
After having tested it with the 'solutions' provided in this thread I can say that the bug still affects me.
The DVD burner is correctly identified as UDMA2 both with and without the optios at boot:
all_generic_ide=1
irqpoll
$ hdparm -i /dev/cdrom
/dev/cdrom:

Reading DVD/CDs works fine, but I cannot burn.
