Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.24
After upgrading from gutsy to hardy I can't synchronize my Sony Clie any longer using kpilot. If I start synchronizing I get the following message in /var/syslog:
Apr 25 19:30:17 darkstar kernel: [ 3691.076037] usb 8-3.3: new full speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 12
Apr 25 19:30:17 darkstar kernel: [ 3691.169737] usb 8-3.3: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
Apr 25 19:30:17 darkstar kernel: [ 3691.170378] usb 8-3.3: palm_os_4_probe - error -32 getting connection info
Apr 25 19:30:17 darkstar kernel: [ 3691.170396] visor: probe of 8-3.3:1.0 failed with error -5
Using Gutsy everything works well. I am using now kubuntu 8.04.

Hi andschuster,
Per the kernel team's bug policy, can you please attach the following information. Please be sure to attach each file as a separate attachment.
* cat /proc/version_ signature > version.log
* dmesg > dmesg.log
* sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log
* sudo lsusb > lsusb.log
It would be good to wait to capture your entire dmesg output after you attempt to synchronize. Hopefully additional debugging information will be logged. For more information regarding the kernel team bug policy, please refer to https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/KernelTeamB ugPolicies . Thanks again and we appreciate your help and feedback.
