i confirm the bug.

i've tried to replace the cable and to invert the position of the drive, then removing\changing position of the jumper... no way it works...

When i prompt to install hardy I CAN SEE all partitions and all drives, but neither the live cd either hardy installed are able to mount the IDE drive or its partitions.

I can see only a SCSI device... notably if i install gParted, it recognizes the ide drive and its partitions, but can't access 'em.

I'm back to Gutsy now, please keep me informed.
