So let me get this right. The bug is in the Hardy Kernel and the fix is to use a new kernel from an unstable release? May be we should change it from "LTS" to "LTS except RTL8111/8168 users". I am sorry if I sound ironic but I was waiting for Hardy LTS so that I could settle on one version for a year or two and not keep updating.
I appreciate the need for the SRU procedures but when the fix involves the replacement of the broken part (i.e. the kernel) is it really going to happen in LTS.
