Daniel Gnoutcheff: I take it back. setting DOUBLE_CONSOLE_SWITCH isn't working for me anymore. I guess something must've been invoking the old ACPI sleep machinery?

Worse yet, I have been unable to find an equivalent two-step for pm-utils. So I'm still stuck with this one.
