Hi,

Finally, I downloaded another Ubuntu 8.04 iso image and I did a fresh install deleting all partitions and reinstalling again. Mostly, everything is working fine but sometimes when I boot the computer, the progress bar is stopped until I switch to a terminal. It keeps waiting for something related with the device (sorry, but I couldn't get those data from my friend laptop. I think to remember that is something related with the UDMA but not sure).

It only happens at the beginning. Once logged in everything is working fine.
