Hi,

I'm having exactly the same problem. This is a serious bug, it makes my dvd drive completly useless!

My DVD driver doesn't read video DVDs, it reads Audio CDs with lot of noise in the sound and mouting data cd/dvd fails with this message.

       dmesg | tail or so.

I think this is a kernel related issue.

I'm attaching this files:
      uname -a > uname-a.log
      cat /proc/version_signature > version.log
      dmesg > dmesg.log
      sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log
