Comment 2 for bug 214019

Hi, Leann, hi everyone.

I've tried around a bit.

I found out, that when booting with the option nohz=off my system works completely normal. Thus the problem is not apci, but the Tickless option.
I also tried to compile the vanilla kernel (2.6.25-rc9). The same problem apperared. Thus this is not an ubuntu specific problem.

If you like you can mark this bug as invalid or whatsoever. I am sorry for bothering you.

It would however be great if this problem could be fixed, such that eighter the Tickless-option is automaticaly disabled or the probem is solved. This would make life easier for some people I think.
