Whatever this issue was occurred for a number of days when testing the LIVE media (ubuntu/lubuntu mantic dailies) HOWEVER that changed with time... Now I only need to ENABLE the radeon connected displays & they operate (lubuntu) when booting LIVE media.

The issue however remained on the installed system.

Ubuntu mantic has now been re-installed, and issue does NOT occur on installed system now (talking about my primary box
- dell [optiplex] 7050 (i5-6500, 16gb, intel hd530/i915, radeon cedar)
