The bug is fixable. It looks like you just have network/configuration problems preventing you from getting the correct packages installed.

Please:

0. Settings > Date & Time > Automatic Date & Time = ON
1. Run: software-properties-gtk
2. Set: Download from = Main server
3. Close the window.
4. Run: sudo apt update
5. Run: sudo apt full-upgrade
6. Reboot.
7. Run: sudo apt install nvidia-driver-525
8. Reboot.
