did you reboot ? did you changed .idProduct = 0x4033 (the 0 is important)

What are reporting the commands: sudo dmesg | grep uvc sudo rmmod uvcvideo && sudo modprobe uvcvideo -vv uname -r
PS reinstalling the OS again will have no help... we have to change and recompile the kernel driver for the new camera, as Bernardo did...
