Regarding the upstream tracker status, we filed a bug against malone but it didn't really get any resolution - https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/malone/+bug/177230 .

Regarding this bug, I'm just adding the upstream git commit id for the kernel guys to reference. I'll be sure to have them take a look. Thanks.
