Sorry for the delay - it was a long end of year break.

As a sanity test I am currently waiting for the bug to happen in vanilla lunar (5.19.0-21-generic) but it hasn't happened yet... I can't say whether any new kernel has fixed it if the original problem isn't happening on the old kernel.
