Vincent, maybe the udev rules are running under a user lacking some privileges?
Can you please try changing the rule to
RUN+="/bin/bash -c 'id > /tmp/id.log'"
and then paste here the output of id.log? (hopefully I didn't mess up the quoting in the command :-) )
