I am also having the exact same issue, though WiFI and Nvidia drivers worked as expected for me (with a tiny hiccup due to some intel wifi firmware blob being bad: iwlwifi-ty-a0-gf-a0.pnvm sha1sum: 0fca9ea9041f65585fcc860f3949832a69360a6f).

I currently have a 'usable' 21.10 install that I upgraded to from 20.04 LTS.

I can only use the system when using kernel version 5.11.0-38-generic.

When doing an lshw on the 21.10 Live image, I can see that the 'NVMe SSD Controller PM9A1/PM9A3/980PRO' section is highlighted as unknown.

Attempting to modprobe the nvme driver didn't seem to help if I recall.

I'll be happy to test any potential fix as I believe I have the same hardware as the original reported.
