Anyway, Fedora supporting secure boot is ok with me for that thingy to be on in the BIOS/Firmware.
Or once this problem is resolved (i.e., trackpad is made to work even after power down), then I've really no use for Windows 8.1 non-sense. The only real purpose it's serving now is to set the trackpad in working order for Linux :-).
Looking forward to this trackpad eventually working natively under Linux, I can tolerate the non-sense of the closed OS like Windows 8.1 till such time.
