I've read through all these comments starting with 1 after being in search of a fix for this issue for about a week.
I wasn't aware that a windows boot -> reboot -> linux (xubuntu in my case) fixed it temporarily and was pretty unsure what could possibly cause this weird behaviour.
As i don't have to apply the patch anymore, i just added the kernel parameter to test it, which fixed the problem for me.
My device is a XMG C405 a rebranded P34W V3 (successor to the P34 V2 series consisting of the G and W models).
This will probably work for all later gigabyte models most likely including the larger devices (P35K/W/X).
As i just created the account for this issue and to report back, im unsure where to send this and hope its going to be enough when i leave this info here as requested earlier.
If i should send it somewhere else, please specify where it should go. I'm generally new to linux in general and am just trying to get switched.
