Anyway, the above patch is no-go. Only your patch as per my comment 135 and attachment 145981 works. I've tested it no less than 20 times by now. It's a winner, every time without fail.
I'm happy to test a refined version of that working patch for you. No problem. It's preferable, however, if it's against 3.16.0 & we work against that stable tree (or any of 3.16.x to come, as mainline 3.17 is in highly volatile state till perhaps it reaches -rc6 or -rc7 etc.).
