Just an observation: When Elantech isn't working, at that time, when I use Fn key combinations, though those functions work (such as mute/unmute speaker, increase/decrease speaker volume, increase/decrease display brightness etc.), these errors are logged by the kernel:
[ 37.160508] atkbd serio0: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x65 on isa0060/serio0).
[ 37.160515] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes 65 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 37.313601] atkbd serio0: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x65 on isa0060/serio0).
[ 37.313606] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes 65 <keycode>' to make it known.
When Elantech is working, obviously those errors don't appear.
