Please don't boot into recovery mode while investigating this bug. Recovery mode is not relevant to the bug.

That said, Ubuntu 20.10 reaches end of life this month so upgrading to 21.04 should probably be the next step. That will also give you kernel version 5.11 which might hopefully work better...
