I posted this bug report with features I have note here to the pulseaudio group two days ago. No response. The pulseaudio group is implicated as the source of the issue.

I posted this as a kernel bug, but perhaps this is a pulseaudio problem.

On latest update of kde kubuntu kernel I saw that libpulsedsp was "kept back" from updating. This remains so. The dependencies are listed as items in focal (kubuntu 20.04) however I am running bionic kubuntu 18.04. The situation cannot be resolved. I also note that the list of items (there are 8) are difficult.

As is visible, I am not able to upgrade to Focal elements because I am running Bionic and I cannot upgrade Focal elements because the current upgrade tree uses Bionic ppa. If I were to put Focal ppa in my /etc/apt/sources.list there would likely be havoc! pulseaudio currently does not work so I am using alsa. I do not know how many other Focal elements will emerge even if I can resolve these, Additionally, I do not know how to fix these anyhow.
