yes clocksource=hpet is working. I'm sorry, it seems like I'd missed Stéphan Kochen's post!
So there are 3 options to get it to work:
- clocksource=hpet - compiling the kernel for pentium-m instead of 586 - using 2.6.25 (works as 586 kernel without the clocksource=hpet option)
